Wellness Recovery Action Plan ® (WRAP ®) Seminar 1 

The Wellness Recovery Action Plan® or WRAP®, is a self-designed prevention and wellness process that anyone can use to get well, stay well and make their life the way they want it to be. It was developed in 1997 by a group of people who were searching for ways to overcome their own mental health issues and move on to fulfilling their life dreams and goals.  It is now used extensively by people in all kinds of circumstances, and by health care and mental health systems all over the world to address all kinds of physical, mental health and life issues. WRAP® has been studied extensively in rigorous research projects and is listed in the National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices.

Wellness Recovery Action Plan ® (WRAP ®) Seminar 2 

Wellness Recovery Action Plan® (WRAP®) Seminar 2 facilitator course models the behavior of a facilitator in a WRAP® class and stresses authenticity and unconditional high regard, as well as a strong set of values and ethics to guide your work. This training is appropriate for anyone who would like to lead  WRAP® groups, work with others to develop their own WRAP® and give presentations on mental health recovery related issues to groups or organizations.  Attendees are expected to have a solid working knowledge of WRAP® and share their experiential knowledge of how WRAP® can work. The WRAP® Facilitator training provides an experiential learning environment based on mutuality. Participants in this course will be expected to participate in interactive learning activities and demonstrate their own experience with WRAP®.  To attend this training, it is expected that you have familiarity with the different parts of WRAP® through completion of one of the following prerequisites (which must be conducted by a WRAP® Facilitator):

  • 2 or 3 day Seminar I course or workshop 
  • 8 or 12 week Seminar I group or workshop 

Whole Health Action Management (WHAM)

Prepare your peer consultants to improve the health of your clients and counter the high incidence of chronic physical health conditions – such as diabetes, heart disease and obesity – among people living with behavioral health conditions with Whole Health Action Management (WHAM). This peer-led program promotes self-management to create and sustain new health behavior.  The WHAM program offers peer providers the materials, tools and ongoing technical assistance to implement the WHAM program at your organization and WHAM facilitators are linked to a national listserv to foster ongoing peer support, share tips and tools for success and provide new resources for peer services and integrated health. WHAM trains participants to create and work toward a person-centered goal for new health behavior and participate in peer support to reach their whole health goal.

Self-Management and Recovery Training (SMART)

SMART recovery stands for Self-Management and Recovery Training. It is a four-point program that is intended to help people with all forms of addictive behaviors. Some examples of addictive behaviors that SMART recovery addresses are, alcoholism, drug abuse, and gambling addiction. SMART recovery is offered in many different forms such as face-to-face trainings and daily online meetings. It is used to help people become self-reliant and self-empowered. The purpose is to teach an individual the four points of the program:

  1. Building and maintaining motivation
  2. Coping with urges
  3. Managing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
  4. Living a balanced life.

Provider Employee Training

Wellbeing Initiative, Inc. Peer Support Provider Employee Training provides all inclusive best practices for the implementation and sustainability of Peer Delivered Services. This training facilitates education to Clinicians, Administrative Staff, Leadership, and Supervisors of Peer Support Specialists. The Peer Support Provider Employee Training offers 16 hours of CE’s approved by the state of Nebraska for Mental Health and Substance Use providers.

Heartsaver® CPR AED Training

The Heartsaver CPR AED course trains participants to give CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
