Wellbeing Initiative Inc.

Wellbeing Initiative Inc. is a non-profit organization developed, driven, and run by peers. By offering a variety of capacity development for community-based organizations through supporting their workforce to provide quality and informed services, provide technical assistance to community-based agencies on program and workforce development, as well as workplace wellness, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

In the last 18 months, Wellbeing Initiative has expanded to provide 7 programs across the country including, Peer Support Training, Provider Training and Technical Assistance, Whole Health Employment Support Training, Emergency Covid-19 Native American Peer Specialists, Continuing Education Program, and Culture of Whole Health for Businesses. We’ve reached Peer Support Specialists, Providers, and other agencies in New York, Maryland, Florida, Georgia, Arkansas, Ohio, Kansas, Iowa, Minnesota  Michigan, Arizona, Colorado, Montana, Oregon, and California with our work.

Wellbeing Initiative Inc. aims to encourage all members of our community and those with lived experience to find purpose and community.

Our Mission

The Mission of Wellbeing Initiative, Inc. is to empower individuals living with mental health and substance use challenges to reach their fullest potential. We strive to do this by cultivating communities through training, education, and opportunities for success.

Our Vision

-Providing high quality training, continuing education, and a virtual platform for relationship building to Peer Support Specialists and individuals with behavioral health challenges.

– Creating innovative programs and policy change across the state to support the professional development of Peer Support Specialists. 

– Offering quality support, technical assistance, and partnership opportunities to agencies throughout the state to change organizational policy and culture to be person-centered, recovery-oriented, and trauma informed.
